Peter Brown has worked in lawn care and pest control sales and technology since 1984. A graduate of Michigan State University with a business degree, Brown started in lawn care as a sale representative for a small startup company, which he helped grow to more than 7500 customers within two years. He rose through the ranks as branch sales manager and finally regional office supervisor. When the company expanded, Brown led the training and auditing initiatives for all office personnel in 24 locations throughout the Midwestern and Northeastern U.S.
The company was purchased by Orkin’s Lawn Care Division, where Brown continued in his managerial position and helped facilitate the Orkin organization’s adoption of Lawn & Pest Assistant, the predecessor to today’s Service Assistant. Brown oversaw the training of the Orkin staff after transitioning to Real Green Systems in 1981.
Brown continued in Real Green Systems Technical Support Department, eventually rising to vice president of technical support, overseeing more than twenty Service Assistant support technicians, as well as the technical support staffs allocated to the Mobile and Customer Assistant Website product lines.
Each January, Brown’s instruction is anticipated at Real Green Systems annual Solutions conference, teaching such sessions as “I didn’t know that!”,
